Chapter six focuses on printing and mounting the digital pictures a digital photographer takes. This is a part of digital photography that can sometimes go unnoticed for photographers. There is a lot of pride that can go into printing and mounting photos. A great way to add a pleasing aesthetic to any home or office is to mount printed photos on the wall. Adding a frame to photos are also a definitive way to add statement to a room to make it appear more decorative. Panoramic photos can also be striking pieces of art. Photo editing software makes it convenient to stitch photos together and create a visually stunning image. Mounting photos can take time but the more time taken to create art, the better the results will be. There are many supplies that are needed to mount photos, including but not limited to: mounting press, tracking iron, mat cutter, a box cutter, and tape. Another feature that is helpful in the process of printing in mounting photos, is to make sure to soft proof. Soft proofing is calibrating the computer's screen to make sure the colors that appear on the screen are going to be the colors that will be printed, otherwise there will be a misconception and the photos printed will turn out differently than expected.

"My work is featured in the Radical Color show at the Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, Oregon, curated by HAFNY’s Jon Feinstein. If you can’t make it to the brick-and-mortar show, you can see the exhibition pieces on HAFNY’s website. Take a look at all the wonderful artists and their work!" -Hollis Johnson
The exhibit in Portland runs through till the end of March, so if you're in the area definitely check out the works in real life. If not, I highly suggest taking a look at the website here because all of these photos deserved to be looked at:
